With this goal in mind, our team has developed plans and procedures to help you understand what actions to take, where to go, and how to respond in case of an emergency at one of our campus locations.

Emergency Procedures

Emergency Plans

Effective planning is crucial for managing the lifecycle of a potential crisis. It enables us to identify the necessary capabilities systematically and define clear roles and responsibilities.

For access to timely and accurate information when it matters most, our Code Maroon notification system will keep you updated during an emergency while on campus.

What to Do in an Emergency

Be aware of your surroundings. When you are aware of what is happening around you, you can make better decisions about your protection and safety.

Protect yourself. Based on your assessment of the situation, use your best judgment to ensure your safety and, if possible, the safety of others.

Call for help. You can reach emergency services by dialing 911.

Help others. Once you are safely away from the danger, alert others to the hazard, and if you can do so without putting yourself at risk, provide assistance.
