STOP THE BLEED®
Stop the Bleed® is an official program of the Department of Defense (DoD) designed to train and equip the public to be able to treat traumatic injuries involving severe bleeding until the first responders arrive. The DoD has contracted with two organizations to create STOP THE BLEED® training and supporting materials for use by organizations and instructors holding a STOP THE BLEED® license, the American College of Surgeons and the Stop the Bleed Coalition. Additionally, the nationwide National Stop the Bleed Day is held annually on the third Thursday of May to promote further awareness of the program.
You can find educational materials, news updates, instructional videos, information about stop-the-bleed kits, and details about upcoming awareness events through the websites below.
